About Me
HELLO, I’M LIAM…
A dog trainer and behavioural specialist from Chester.
I’ve always had an affinity with dogs and a passion for dog training. I grew up around German Shepherds and have had dogs my whole life. When one of our dogs started to develop behavioural problems (after being attacked), I dove head-first into finding out why; reading books, watching everything I could find online, and even completing a Behaviour Adjustment Theory Seminar to learn more.
REVISITING MY PASSION
After being medically discharged from the armed forces due to an injury, I decided to revisit my passion for helping people get control of their dogs behavioural issues. I attended courses and seminars by The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and The Guild of Dog Trainers, completed a Canine Behaviour Diploma to understand more about dog psychology and physiology, and also completed a 3-week-long course on training and handling drug detection dogs, which was accredited by The National Association of Security Dog Users.

trained & tamed
This has ultimately led me to creating my business Trained & Tamed - to help your dog overcome all their disruptive behaviours and become better family pets, enabling you to live a more cooperative and stress-free life together.
Since Trained and Tamed
Since starting my business I have worked for a major Detection Dog supplier raising and training their Explosive Detection Dogs. I raised 10 litters of Labradors and Springer Spaniels. Whilst at this company I assisted in the training of S.W.A.T dogs, trained rescue dogs to find Explosives and Drugs, and worked on specialised projects involving people searching dogs.
Outside of work, I've been involved in the sport of PSA(Protection Sport Association), training my own dogs and assisting others. I also contribute by decoying at a local club.
I've also welcomed a new pup to the family. Xena, an all-black Dutch Herder.
